Ruapotaka school 66 birthday
It was Ruapotaka schools birthday there were decorations on the doors , we had a assembly for the birthday they had got a cake. The cake was super big then it was time to cut the cake there were two people that could cut the cake it was the oldest student and the youngest student.
The teacher had a special knife for them to cut the cake after we sang happy birthday to us it felt like a real birthday.
Next we went back to our classes and had lunch we got our cake it was delicious it was chocolate cake that had little blue sugar things on it. The taste of it was so good but we could only have one each.

Stone henge
Stone henge is a prehistoric stone circle monument and a cemetery located on Salisbury.
Stone henge took 1500 year to build it did not look how it did now people say that it was a perfect circle but now some of the rocks must have fell down
People believed that druids had build the stone henge druids were people in ancient Britain. Some say the Stone henge was build by aliens people that are from outer space people back then did not have machines like we do now. There was a ditch it was about 6 feet deep it was made with a simple antler tools.

Pest-free island
There was a wily stoat on the loose on one of Auckland's peat-free island it could have swum away. The stoat had been first found on Motukorea\browns island by a conservation dog mid march.
Team also found what looked to be footprints in the sand and discovered where the stoat hides his food. Dozens of traps were laid down and cameras set up there have been hour sent scouring the island with the dog team. Despite that, Auckland council conservation ranger had not found the sneaky stoat.
Senior ranger Miranda Bennett had said the latest search on Friday still have not found anything.

Woodwork
At tech I was in wood work we were going to make gift so we had to think of 4 people that we will give the gift to. The gift were necklaces after we choose the people we wanted to give the gift to we had to write about them.
Then once we were done doing it we had to think what shaped necklaces we want them to be. We had to pick a shape and cut it out so our teacher can make the mold when he is finish making the mold the he puts metal into it.
After he had showed us some that he made there was a lot. There was a dog and a bunny but there was a dragon that he said was impossible to make.
There was some interesting shapes that was there I loved the dragon. We had to go to google and find images of what we want the shape of the necklaces to be.
Dan Carter joins blues
The former Crusaders and All black super star Dan Carter has join the Blues in New Zealand. He played for the national team for New Zealand the All blacks He is the highest point soccer in match rugby.
Dan Carter the 38 year old will join as cover for Stephen Perofeta he is out indefinitely with a foot injury.
The 38 year old has one of the best ruby records having to spent 12 year with the crusader where he had won the three rugby titles in 2005,06 and 08. The three time world super rugby player of the year had left New Zealand after he played a key role in the all blacks 2015 world cup victory.

Volley
At volley we learned how to set and had to practice with each other we got into group and had to pass the ball around. We counted how many good passes we. After practicing we played king of the court this is how you play there are 4 teams they have to vs each other. The winners on both side vs to see who the king of the court and those who lost vs. We served first the ball was going everywhere but the team was good we lost our first game but it was fun trying pass the ball the next game I think we lost too but at the last game we tried our hardest and and we won.
After we did boys vs girl it was fun every body got a turn to pass the ball it was a good game but we won.

Science's project
At tech we watched a video about making a light turn on with saltwater. We were given pictures of the video and had to sort them out. When we had finish we actually had to do it I had lot's of fun.
When we got the items we needed we had to get into groups. The things we had were saltwater, a switch, light bulbs and wires. We connected the switch to the light bulb it was hard trying to connect it together .We had to connect wire going to the saltwater like it the photo.
We did all the steps right but it didn't turn on so we put more salt in the water but it still didn't work.

Pests control
Today Frazer Came to our class room, he gave us some chew cards and paper with thing about pests. On there were bites and foot prints. We had to find out what kind of pests did bit the chew card it. There were also cards with foot prints on it and we had to find out what pests did it too.
After we were given tunnels we saw some on Hamlin's hill we had to fold it. I got one but it took a couple of try's to do it. Then we got goodie bags, there were lot's of cool things in there to look at. Then we got given a job some people had gloves some people had hammers and some people had tape, I got gloves we went at the back of our class. We talked about plants that can spread there seeds also if the milk touches you it will make you itchy. We also talk about where to put the chew card and tunnel we found good places to put them.

Land speed record broken 2020
The land speed in New Zealand had been broken over the weekends. New Zealand air force sergeant Dean Hart had set a new record 363.436 km an hour it was at the Ohakea air force base. Before the record was 355.485 km\h also it was Harts first time attempting the record after he got the castrol trophy for setting the land speed record in one go.
The car is powered by a rolls Royce engine from BAC strike master aircraft. The engine is powered by aviation fuel the cost of the fuel is 170 dollars and 8 cents per gallon. 1 litre is 0.3125 aviation fuel is more powerful than gasoline aviation fuel are use to power aircraft's.

Hamlin hills
When we got to Hamlin hills we had to clean our shoes for Kauri tree. Frazier was our teacher he gave us binoculars Then in the forest and we saw traps there were lot's of kinds of traps if we saw a blue tape there is a clue. The one I like the most is the A24 all you have to do is put peanut butter in side when an animal come he will smell the peanut butter and it will put it's head in and SNAP!!!. I like the trap because it resets on ti's own after that We when up on the tip top we could see every thing.

New Zealand
There are a number of children that are not attending New Zealand school the new info was released today by the associate minister for education Tracey Martin. The data shows 58 percent of student normally go to school This is down 64 percent in 2018.
The data shows a hop in absence on Monday and Friday also on the last day of term.
The biggest declining were the primary schools.
The bad news is that the number they have been declining since 2015. Most of the absence can be put down in to legitimate illness.
Sciences Tech
At tech we were talking about plastic we had to bring our own plastic form home. We talked about why is plastic bad and we said it was bad for our environment and our animals too.
We had to cut out strips and glue them on our books we had positive,neutral and negative. Next We had to read the strip of paper then see if they were a negative or a positive also neutral After that We got given plastic and numbers.
We also got some paper we had to sort out where the plastic go. On the paper there was columns of different types of plastic and if they are recyclable.

Air New Zealand sells fares
Air NZ has announced it sold one million domestic planes under $50 in the last year. The airline lowered their price of the fares on 41 domestic routes in February 2019. Some other fares were reduce up to 50%.
Air New Zealand Cam Wallace, says the response from costumer has been amazing
Around about 600,000 of those flights sold under 50 dollars were on the airline regional network. these planes service small towns.

JAI-top 5 things I want to achieve in 2020
1. I want to sound out hard words when I am reading, so when I read I wont be stopping just to figure out the word.
